Get ready for an exciting camp experience where creativity and imagination is key. Right at your school.
The STEAM Project is the first and largest STEAM summer camp in York Region. Now with five different campuses across Richmond Hill and Markham, kids from all over the GTA can spend their summer building projects and learning hands-on skills with our state-of-the-art technology.
At The STEAM Project’s STEM Summer Camps, campers develop skills, mindsets, and experiences through design challenges, problem-solving activities, and group projects.
Our camp and programs are run by Ontario Certified Teachers.
Our summer camp staff have a background in STEAM.
We replace screens with real-life tools and skills that can be used for life.
We ensure a high staff-to-camper ratio for personalized education.
With our Sophomore campers, there is a strong focus on collaboration and working towards shared goals, while also allowing them the much-needed opportunity to exercise their independence, leadership, and original thinking. The program specifically encourages using our resources with other campers to discover the ways they can use their intelligence and creativity to contribute to society by analyzing issues and thinking of ways to improve them. Campers are also given the privilege of using more advanced tools to take on projects with a higher level of complexity and knowledge.

As our youngest group of thinkers at the STEAM Project, Freshkids enjoy experiences that let their imaginations run wild. Our high staff to camper ratio ensures they have a high level of supervision, attention, and instruction as campers are introduced to basic skills and hands-on projects. Patient and nurturing individuals are specifically chosen as our Freshkids counselors to encourage young campers to collaborate and think as a group, understand/respect the thoughts and ideas of others, be proud of their abilities and accomplishments, and overall, just have fun.

At this age, it is important to have the opportunity to experience the complete process of experimenting, even when the ideas or the execution don’t turn out as expected. Our Sprockets are taught to develop resilience and ask questions to improve their situation through innovation, as we know that they are natural explorers who have many questions about the world around them. We have created a program focused on finding increasingly complex and creative solutions to solve problems, learning how to use basic hand tools with purpose, and helping campers respond to time management issues using structure and discipline.

Learn a new concept and review the ones from the day before. It’s always a good idea to refresh our memory!
It’s time to start our second activity; learning and improving our skills with various tools and technologies.
Lunch is served! Satisfy your appetite with our delicious meal plans (or bring your own!) while taking part in exciting team challenges and events.
Time for our third activity! Here we apply what we’ve learned throughout the day in a culminating project.
See what cool activities are here for you during the Open Activity period. We offer 3D printing, woodshop, and robotics to name a few! Senior campers may work on their Enrichment Project.
Planning meals can be tiring, but it doesn’t have to be! We’ve partnered up with Kid’s Kitchen to make lunchtime easy. Just choose a meal plan option after you register for camp and we’ll take care of the rest for you. We have regular, vegetarian, and halal meal plan options available!
per week
Have a busy schedule? Start and/or end your camper’s day with fun and friendly staff in our before- and after-care programs. Campers will choose from a variety of activities and games to play. Before-care is available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and after-care is available from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Our specialized enrichment programs are for campers who want to take their skills further. These programs are limited to a small number of our Junior and Senior Unit campers (finishing Grades 5 to 8). During the Open Activity period at camp, like-minded campers will complete more sophisticated projects or challenges that will last throughout each session.
Feel free to reach out if you need further information about our programs.
