About this Course

Learn about architecture & design while building your dream tiny home! Students will learn how to create architectural scale models using 3D design, furniture design, electricity, circuits, 3D printing, and even fabric weaving!

Course Fee

$349 plus tax (includes a $50 material fee)

Course Outcomes

Students will learn how to create architectural scale models using 3D design software (SketchUp) and bring the design to life with our Tiny Home kit. They will also tackle furniture design while assembling 1:12 scale IKEA furniture, electricity and 3D printing while putting together their 3D-printed mini LED lamps, and textiles and fashion with our fabric weaving kit.

Key Information

  • Session Length: Once a week / 10 weeks
  • Technology Access: Our virtual programs require a computer with access to an internet connection. All software and tools needed will be provided to students.
  • Class Size: 10 students
  • Instructor to Student Ratio: 1:5

Virtual Course Needs

  • Any computer (PC, Mac, or Chromebook) that can run Google Meets (with webcam, mic)
  • iPads are not compatible
  • A mouse is recommended for 3D design

In-person classes are located in our Makerspace in Richmond Hill at 561 Edward Avenue (Unit 1), Richmond Hill, ON

Our project kits are shipped out Canada-wide with free shipping! We ship kits out 5 business days prior to the first day of class.
Step 3: Join the Google Classroom
You'll receive a link to the Google Classroom during the week before class starts. That's where the Meet link will be too.
Step 4: Build!
Join the Google Meet during your class time and get ready to build!
