Embark on an unforgettable journey with our Winter Specialty Program designed for students in Grades 5 to 8! Immerse them into a world of creativity and innovation with Woodworking & Tiny Homes. Our specialty program will provide the ultimate experience where young minds can explore, create, and grow!
New to woodworking? Come join us in a fun, exploration-based environment to learn how to work with wood safely, use hand tools, build basic structures, and finish wooden projects to a high level of detail. Over the course of several short projects, students will gain skills, accumulate experience and build confidence to be able to pursue their own woodworking projects. Activities will be modified to student age and ability.
Students will learn how to create architectural scale models using our Tiny Home kit and 3D design software (SketchUp). Students will see their designs come to life as they learn how to draft and sketch our floor plan and construct their modular tiny home. They will also tackle furniture design while assembling 1:30 scale IKEA furniture, wiring LED lamps, and utilizing 3D printing customized furniture. Activities will be modified to student age and ability.
