Position:

Pre-Camp Training Dates: June 20, 24, 25

Camp Dates: June 29 – August 21

We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic Camp Counsellors to join our Summer 2026 camp team. Counsellors play a key role in creating an unforgettable camp experience. They oversee a group of children within a specific age group, referred to as cabins, and serve as positive role models, ensuring a safe and fun environment. Counsellors are experts at getting kids excited about everything—from hands-on STEAM activities to new experiences. This role requires energy, patience, and the ability to supervise and engage children in a safe, fun, and educational environment. If you have experience working with children and passion for STEAM, summer camp, and inspiring youth, we would love to meet you! 

Our Ideal Candidate:

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age by December 31st, 2026.

Previous experience working with children, ideally in a camp or recreation setting

Full weekday availability from July to August.

Considered an Asset:

For STEAM Camp: Experience with making, robotics, coding, electronics, 2D/3D Design

For Outdoor Adventure Camp: Experience in outdoor activities like survival skills, archery, firebuilding, knot tying, sports, or similar.

Role & Responsibilities

Provide optimal supervision and enrichment to a group of campers ages 4-14

Assist with the delivery of engaging, hands-on activities that are fun and educational

Communicate effectively with fellow counsellors, instructors, and the Leadership Team

Ensure camper safety at all times, identifying and responding to potential risks

Basic administrative tasks, including but not limited to; camper evaluations and birthday cards

Manage camper conduct when necessary using positive behaviour support strategies

Have a ton of fun!

Additional Requirements

Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C (required prior to the start of camp)

Vulnerable Sector Screening Check (required prior to the start of camp; for those under 18, a voluntary disclosure form will be provided by the camp)

This job may be funded by the Government of Canada’s Student Work Placement Program (SWPP). The SWPP program requires that candidates be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident or a protected person defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
