About the
Position:

Pre-Camp Dates: Starting late May/early June

Camp Dates: June 30 – August 22  (8:45 AM – 4:15 PM)

We are looking for an organized and supportive administrative assistant to join our Summer 2025 camp team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable making and answering phone calls, handling camp registration efficiently, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who can warmly and professionally greet families, both in person and over the phone. Camps are located in Richmond Hill and the surrounding areas, and the successful applicant must have reliable transportation for daily commuting. This is a full-time, in-office role for the Summer.

Requirements

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.

Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Proficiency in Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.), with the ability to navigate and utilize its tools efficiently.

At least 1 year of experience in administrative or clerical work, demonstrating reliability and competence in a support role.

Considered an Asset:

Experience working in children's programming like day camp, extra-curricular programming in education

Role & Responsibilities

Provide a warm and professional greeting to families and guests, both in person and over the phone, ensuring a welcoming experience.

Organize and manage inbound and outbound office mail, maintaining efficient communication channels.

Oversee program and event registration processes, while managing family, child, and staff records with accuracy and confidentiality.

Transport supplies and materials between camp sites, including camper shirts and administrative supplies.

Contribute to the creation and development of promotional materials to support camp initiatives.

Assist in the planning and coordination of camper and staff activities to ensure smooth operations and an enjoyable experience for all.

Provide support to the Office Manager by handling daily tasks and assignments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and reliability.

Monitor and maintain office supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is well-stocked and in working order.

Additional Requirements

Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle.
