Course Outcomes

Inventor: IGNITE allows the graduates of our Mini-Makers and SPARK program, as well as beginner Inventors, to start working with 2D and 3D design software and circuit building, allowing them to translate what they see on a screen into something they can build with their hands! They will learn how to connect their projects to real-world understanding as well as their school curriculum and invent new ways to problem-solve in their creative process.

FAQ

How many students are in one class?

For our in-class programs, we typically have a maximum of 10 students in one class. Plus, we maintain a 1:5 instructor-to-student ratio to ensure students receive adequate supervision and ample one-on-one time with instructors.

Do you offer trial classes?

We offer trial classes for new families who are curious about our programs. Please contact us at office@thesteamproject.ca for more details.

The start date has passed. Can I still join?

For INVENTOR series, Coding & Robotics, and Art Tech courses, students are able to join partway through the season, as there will be new skills and projects featured throughout the course. Partial enrollments will have pro-rated course fees.

For other courses (Tiny Homes, Woodworking, Battle Bots), students will not be able to join partway through a season due to the progression of the skills learned. We recommend joining our mailing list to be kept up to date on when our new season begins.

If you have questions or clarification, please feel free to contact us directly at office@thesteamproject.ca

The STEAM Project is truly a brilliant concept for youngsters!! We first attended their summer camp which was extremely well organized, FUN and with terrific and friendly staff. The kids had a blast. We then decided to have a birthday party at their facility and they did NOT disappoint. The space was clean, the staff went above and beyond with the kids giving each child attention and making them feel special. I would highly recommend the STEAM PROJECT.

I was trying to find a program to help my son learn new math and science concepts. Sometimes it is difficult to find hands-on activities for him to learn from. At the steam project he got to experiment with different materials and do experiments. My son rarely asks me repeatedly to bring him back to camp for one more day, but he did. He was also much more vocal about what he did on a given day during camp. It’s great to see him excited about learning and it is wonderful to give him the experience of learning through play oriented and carefully planned activities. It was also his first experience with 3D printing. I wanted to thank the great accommodating staff for the great experience they gave my son. I am also very happy that you are offering a camp in Markham this year.

Our son has loved the STEAM Project Arduino workshops. He is not only getting more confident and skilled with electronics and coding. After sessions he then applies his own creativity to what he has learned. This series is giving him a whole new skill set he is using to express his creativity.

Our son has been at The Steam Project for almost a year and he has enjoyed all of the classes. We started in the amazing studio with robotics and have continued virtually with coding. The teachers are very knowledgeable and adapt to the pace of the kids. And our son, who generally doesn’t enjoy after school classes, looks forward to his time spent with The Steam Project. Thank you so much for helping him find what is now a passion of his!

Steam Project brought discovery, joy and learning to my child during this weird and wild 2020 summer with their small in-person Maker Bots camp. A beautiful opportunity for a child to use their imagination in a season of way too much down time! - Camp follows the appropriate guidelines to make you feel safe having your child at their facility. Highly recommended.
