Kids Deserve Exciting, Hands-on Experiences
As a child, all I wanted was to make and build things and do experiments. I was often sent out of class because I was bored and couldn’t focus, which got me into trouble.
Then as a teacher, I was frustrated by the lack of fun, hands-on experiences provided to kids in school. So I found like-minded educators and we started The STEAM Project where creative kids design, invent and experiment using traditional tools and high-tech equipment.
Since then, over a thousand students and campers have participated in STEAM experiences that have instilled their love of learning.

Tools and Technology Your Child Will Explore
Just like learning a new language or playing a competitive sport, we reinforce, refine, and build on the skills learned. As kids get older, they will be introduced to new technologies and challenged with more intricate projects.
Electronics
Learn the science that powers everything around you, from refrigerators to cars to even rockets! Kids will get to experiment and explore electricity, its source, and its applications in both the real world and in their own projects.
Robots + Coding
From Ozobots to battlebots to drones, we’ve got them all! Learn how to design, build, and code your very own robot. Start with basic skills including digital logics and block-based coding. Then work your way up towards using Arduinos and learning advanced programming languages like C++ and Python!
3D Design
Bring your ideas to life by modelling them using computer programs including Tinkercad and AutoCAD. Kids will improve their visual-spatial sense and awareness through designing and printing complex geometric objects using our 3D printers or by hand with multi-coloured 3D pens.
2D Design
Create designs for your clothing or projects and see them being developed in our vinyl or laser cutters. Watch as the laser cuts out your detailed sketches onto wood, plastic, fabric, and more! Kids will learn the basics of graphic design while improving their sense of symmetry, balance, and shape.
Workshop
Learn how to use hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and soldering irons to create the perfect toy, game, or gadget that you’ve always wanted! Bring creativity and skills together in the workshop where we have all of the woodworking tools, electronics, art supplies, and more to help your kid build any project they want.
Creative Arts
Express every part of your creativity with the wide range of crafts available at our makerspace! From ceramics and copper enameling to fashion design and epoxy art, we have the crafts that kids want to do, and we’re always adding more! Our team of caring instructors will help your children gain the skills they want to express themselves and empower them with the tools to create their own art. They’re not getting this in school!

The kids had a blast. We then decided to have a birthday party at their facility and they did NOT disappoint. The space was clean, the staff went above and beyond with the kids giving each child attention and making them feel special. I would highly recommend the STEAM PROJECT.
Kate panagioJanuary 5, 2022.I was trying to find a program to help my son learn new math and science concepts. Sometimes it is difficult to find hands-on activities for him to learn from. At the steam project he got to experiment with different materials and do experiments. My son rarely asks me repeatedly to bring him back to camp for one more day, but he did. He was also much more vocal about what he did on a given day during camp. It’s great to see him excited about learning and it is wonderful to give him the experience of learning through play oriented and carefully planned activities. It was also his first experience with 3D printing. I wanted to thank the great accommodating staff for the great experience they gave my son. I am also very happy that you are offering a camp in Markham this year.
