About The Position
The STEAM Project Summer Camp is seeking a skilled candidate who is passionate about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math and has experience working with hands-on equipment.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Experience working in a makerspace or workshop
- Skilled with CAD and visual design software
- Comfortable with digital fabrication tools and wood shop tools
- Experience and passion for building/making, robotics, coding, and/or graphic design an asset
Role & Responsibilities
- Committed to working from July 4th – August 26th, Monday-Friday from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, plus available for select weekends in June for staff training
- Preparing and Ensuring Safety and Equipment Guidelines and Routines for camp
(Signage, Staff Manual, etc.) - Planning and Delivering Safety and Skill Training to Staff and Campers
- Ensuring adequate supplies for the program and making order requests
A Typical Day
- Coordinating with program instructors to schedule equipment use
- Help with leading workshops that require specialized machinery & tools
- Checking inventory of supplies and submitting order requests when low
- Maintaining equipment and helping keep workshop areas clean
- Assisting staff when they need technical expertise
