About The Position
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Salary Range: $20-25/hr
The STEAM Project is seeking a skilled candidate who is passionate about teaching students topics relating to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math, and has experience working with hands-on equipment and CAD software.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Enjoys working with kids and youth
- Has experience building cool hands-on engineering projects
- Likes a good challenge and enjoys problem solving
- Is self-motivated and organized
- Likes to work collaboratively with others to brainstorm ideas
Role & Responsibilities
- Preparing and Ensuring Safety and Equipment Guidelines and Routines for Makerspace
(Signage, Staff Manual, etc.) - Planning and Delivering Workshop Safety and Skill Training to Staff and Students
- Design new projects and optimize/improve existing designs using CAD software
- Help make design improvements in our Makerspace
Required Skills
- Experience working in a makerspace or workshop
- Skilled with CAD and visual design software
- Comfortable with digital fabrication tools and wood shop tools
- Experience and passion for building/making, robotics, coding, and/or graphic design an asset
- Required Certifications: Emergency First Aid with CPR-C (or willingness to obtain)
